Hi, I'm Martin Evans, a Philadelphia-based drummer with over 30 years of experience. I've been playing since 1986, and I've had a long and varied career playing live, touring, and in the studio. In 2020, I decided to focus solely on remote session work, providing MIDI drum tracks for bands, solo artists, and producers worldwide from the comfort of my own space. I’ve recorded for artists such as Celtic World Orchestra, Henry Louris, and Mike Lawson & Friends, among many others.

As a drummer, I like to keep things simple, making sure I play for the song and nothing else. I need to stay true to who I am as a player and not let technology get in the way, so I record live, to maintain the human element. What you're getting is a living and breathing drum track. While my roots are in rock and pop, I'm versatile and comfortable across most genres. I ask that you check with me first, as I don't want to waste your time or money if I don't think I'm a fit for your project.

The track will be delivered as a MIDI file, and if required, I can provide multitrack audio. I have numerous sample libraries, but I primarily use Superior Drummer 3 and its extensive expansions. Not only does this provide access to a vast collection of professionally recorded kits, but the true value lies in the virtual access to a range of world-class recording studios, including Capitol, Sound City, Air, Hansa, and many more.

My rate is based on a flat per-song fee, with three-day delivery and three revisions as standard. New clients receive a reduction on their first order, and I also provide a discount on orders of two tracks or more.
